“Suze gave us such an in-depth analysis of our podcast, and gave a fantastic list of recommendations and what we could improve upon. It really fired us up. I was super impressed with Suze's skills and knowledge, plus she's super supportive and has been cheering us along from the sidelines. FAQs

What is a podcast audit?

A podcast audit is a focussed investigation into your podcast. Everything from the way it looks and sounds, to the way it is marketed is explored by myself and Emily. We take time to survey your listeners to ensure you are reaching the right people, and consider your goals and objectives, to make sure you’re on track to succeed. Want to improve the way you sound? We will think about your audio set-up, the equipment and platforms you are using and make recommendations to take you to the next level.

Why should I do this?

Perhaps you want to reach a wider audience so you can start to approach sponsors. Maybe you aren’t sure your podcast is worth the time and effort you are putting into it any more. Or you might need some new creative ideas to get excited about your podcast again. All of these are great reasons for carrying out an audit. We suggest practical ways that you can take actions in short, medium and long-term to improve and grow your podcast whether you want to find new listeners, increase downloads or find a sponsor.

How long does a podcast audit take?

It takes 4-6 weeks to complete the audit. This is because we like to ensure we have enough responses from the survey to provide you with meaningful insights.

What do I end up with?

The audit reveals invaluable insights for the serious podcaster and we present everything we discover back to you in a highly detailed document. This includes..

  • Easy wins you can implement straight away, to make a difference

  • Explanations of your podcast stat data

  • Creative recommendations for format and content

  • Microphone, recording software and workflow recommendations

  • Analysis of your bespoke audience survey complete with next step recommendations

  • Thoughts around metadata and categories

  • High level competitor review

What do you need to carry out the audit?

We will need access to your podcast host, so that we can take a good look at your podcast stats. We also ask that you share the survey we create via your social channels, newsletters or any other platforms available to you. We suggest this is shared regularly over a two to three-week period.

Who are we?

“As professional audio engineers (and full-time audio geeks), we want to share what we know and take your podcast up a gear”
